HAPPENINGS: Toasted Wedding Event

Calling all free-spirited, non traditional, indie couples. If you are planning a wedding (or just about any get together) then the Toasted Wedding Event was the place to be. This amazing and unique event took place at The New Children's Museum in Downtown. We had the pleasure of attending this event and all we can say is WOW! From the moment we entered, the experience was engaging. Local San Diego event vendors were set up throughout the space, each with their own unique presentation style.

The first vendor that caught our eye was a GUBBA GUMMA Stationary Studio. This is a great local company that describes themselves as "colorful, modern and fun". They offer a fun twist on wedding invitations and if you are not getting married they also offer stationary, thank you cards and all types of invites.

We were also drawn to was Lindsey Jones Makeup Artistry. We had the pleasure of meeting Ms. Jones and she was wonderful. Her Makeup Artistry company has recently moved from New York and SD FashionStyleArt is predicting she is going to make a name for herself in her new location. The company's look and vibe is sleek, chic, sophisticated and hip. If you are looking for your perfect wedding day look, then Lindsey Jones is who you want to call.

No wedding is complete without the perfect wedding dress. The Dress Theory caught our eye the moment we saw their booth. Every dress they had on display was beautiful, stunning and unique. This bridal source operates a local San Diego boutique located Mission Hills. The Dress Theory carries designers such as Rue De Seine, Sarah Seven and Jenny Packman. If you are interested in visiting, make sure to call because The Dress Theory is open by private appointment only.

Some of our other favorite vendors included:

This is a Salon and on location hair and makeup Company...

Event Styling and furniture rentals for any events. This chic company helps make your perfect wedding come true from vintage furniture pieces to unique floral arrangements.

No wedding is complete without delicious food. San Diego Taco company is a great alternative to the traditional wedding food. We had the opportunity to try these tasty tacos and they were awesome! The bite size tacos are a great way to try and spice things up at your wedding or any event. San Diego Taco Company was the 2014 winner of the Best of San Diego catering award and we can definitely see why.

The Toasted Wedding event was fantastic! The venue was beautiful and
the vendors all had amazing things to offer for either wedding events or party events. If you are looking for the alternative to the traditional, this is definitely an event you should check out next time it is staged in San Diego. Another similar event is happening February 28th, 2015. Join us at The Swoon Event popping up at the Moniker Warehouse in the East Village.
