TASTEMAKERS: Mahjuba Levine

Do you need help with your closet conundrums? Our recommendation would be to hire Mahjuba Levine, San Diego’s leading personal stylist and fashion Tastemaker.  In 2002, Mahjuba started Closet Therapy (a.k.a her brain child) in order to educate and inspire her clients to look their best in every aspect of their life, with clothing of course.

I find that being able to get inside the thoughts of a personal stylist is comparable to digging for gold. What makes them passionate? What makes them tick? What fuels their inspiration? These questions are such a wealth of information that is rarely shared and we just so happen to be delivering the answers directly to you. Talk about your lucky day...

With her metallic gold pointed toe Manolo Blahnik pumps paired with jeans and a casual top, Mahjuba sets out to define her own personal style. She informs us that her personal style is “classic chic with a twist”. For instance, her twists are usually a mix of accessories, anything from a fab bag to statement jewelry to the “it” shoes of the day. Part of her creativity is stimulated by mixing high and low price points. She also finds inspiration through shopping in general and doing tons of independent research on trends and fashion blogs such as Buro247, The Covetuer, and My Vibe My Life.

Mahjuba is quite the influencer and her expertise has been showcased by working with top clients and publications such as Vogue, Riviera Magazine, and San Diego Magazine. While we are dropping a style bomb of accomplishments let’s just mention that this past year, Mahjuba was personally handpicked by Stacy London to be part of her Style for Hire team. Her passion is to work with “real” men and women helping to build confidence through wardrobe and style. Trust us when we tell you that she will change your life and your closet one black velvet hanger at a time.

What’s next for Mahjuba you may ask...

Being highlighted in Locale Magazine in June as one of San Diego’s top fashionfluencer, San Diego Entrepreneur Day in September, and even possibly a book on all of her experiences in the styling world! She sets out to live a stylish life and devote her time to teaching her children the importance of dressing well, not for others but for themselves. We look forward to you creating tons of style here in San Diego!!!
